Emily Kinney is best known for her role in Walking Dead as Beth Greene and she was recently in an episode of The Flash as Brie Larvan (The Bug-Eyed Bandit). That makes us pretty happy being that they're shows based on comic books, that we all happen to love. Anyway, it's fair to say that Emily should also be known for something else. How talented of a songwriter and vocalist she is. Her music 'could' be described as a rustic country pop but there's no twang in her voice... I never really liked titles anyway. She's a fun and bubbly person and it shows in her songs. A casual listen would lead you to believe that she's a sweet and innocent girl but diving into what her lyrics are saying, may make you think she's had a few relationship issues. I don't know if they're real experiences in her life or just the basis for some entertainment. That's what I like best about that aspect of her songs. The line between reality and fiction. Her stage banter with the crowd made her even more likeable. Letting the crowd (Omaha, Nebraska's Waiting Room) know that it was the first show to sell out, making this the best crowd of the tour. She was also happy to see many familiar faces, beings she is from Wayne, Nebraska. The audience response was definitely in her favor, which gave her a possible timid yet, loving, giddy appreciation.
I really did enjoy everything about her live performance. It was a great atmosphere to hang with friends and witness beautifully sang and played music. Emily really is like a Disney Princess. She's cute, fun, has a tinge of an evil streak in her and has an excellent vocal range.
